Chino MMG Sheds Light on Baltimore’s Bike Life in Supreme®/Fox Racing® Collaboration

Supreme New York & Fox Racing’s New Collaboration Promo Showcases A Cities Blossoming Culture.

On Sunday’s in West Baltimore a massive group of dirt bikes and ATVs parade down Druid Hill Drive to Liberty Road. It’s a really beautiful thing to witness. Chino MMG, a native of Baltimore, uses the Supreme®/Fox Racing® Spring 2018 collection to highlight the dirt bike culture in Baltimore.

Known as “The Dirt Bike Capital”, West Baltimore is becoming increasingly known for their style of motor-cross art form. However, not all Baltimore residents are happy about the increase of bikers in the city. Some argue that the dirt bikes lead to reckless driving, increases traffic, and that riders create potential harm to other vehicles as well as themselves. The symbolic stop sign on the back of the shirt that reads “Do Not Chase” shows the sort of resistance dirt bike culture has in Baltimore, MD, historically much like that of hip-hop culture.

According to the Washington Post, “For decades, police have been a mainstay during the dirt bike rides on Sundays. Since the city adheres to a “no-chase” policy, law enforcement has used everything from helicopters to thermal imaging to seek out and deter the dirt bikers riding through the city streets illegally.”

Baltimore tallied more than 340 homicides in 2017 — the highest yearly number on record there in more than two decades. In an effort to reduce the violence Baltimore’s biker community implemented “No Shoot Zones”. Further, Baltimore’s biking community is an extensive network of individuals that are highly influential in the Baltimore area. Many of these individuals use biking as a positive outlet for Baltimore’s youth.

“I don’t like the argument of ‘lesser of two evils’ — but you can’t ignore it in Baltimore. There are so many worse options for a kid like Pug. I mean, when I met him in 2010 I remember there were drug dealers directly outside of his house. … It’s tempting to do a lot worse. So I think for a kid like Pug this is almost a wholesome activity.” — Lofty Nathan

With documentaries like the 12 O’Clock boys showcasing the stories and biking skills seen in Baltimore’s youth, it is imperative that Baltimore invests in creating a welcoming environment for bikers.

The Fox Racing x Supreme collection will release online and in the NY, Brooklyn, L.A., London, and Paris stores on May 10. Japan will see a May 12 release.

Could Condoleezza Rice Be The Cleveland Browns Next Head Coach

The Browns released a statement after reports circulated that former Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, could potentially be the franchises next head coach.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cleaveland Browns are interested in interviewing former Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, for their head coaching job.

An avid Browns supporter, Rice’s experience in professional athletics has been largely limited to the collegiate level, serving on the College Football Playoff Selection committee until her term on the board ended.

If Condoleeza Rice where to be selected she would be the first woman head coach in the NFL.

Following the surfacing of this report, The Browns swiftly released a press statement stating that “we are still in the process of composing the list of candidates and Secretary Rice has not been discussed“.

Condoleezza Rice also released a statement via. Facebook

“I love my Browns — and I know they will hire an experienced coach to take us to the next level.

On a more serious note, I do hope that the NFL will start to bring women into the coaching profession as position coaches and eventually coordinators and head coaches. One doesn’t have to play the game to understand it and motivate players. But experience counts — and it is time to develop a pool of experienced women coaches.

BTW — I’m not ready to coach but I would like to call a play or two next season if the Browns need ideas! And at no time will I call for a “prevent defense.”

The music Legend was born in Minnesota and his legacy lives on through the city in various landmarks and annual concerts. The Minnesota Timberwolves City Edition jerseys are a play on Prince’s 1984 Album and Film “Purple Rain”.

When the look went on sale on Nov. 8, it was the largest grossing day at retail in team history.

Kevin Garnett was in attendance wearing a custom City Edition Timberwolves jersey.

The Timberwolves ended up beating the Trailblazers 112-96 last night. It’s awesome to see a big organization like the NBA pay homage to African American cultural icons, especially ones that have made a major impact in America.
