In a new pilot program called, Shop Theft, Toronto Police will no longer criminally charge first time shoplifters.

The program intends to allow Shopping Mall Security Guards to apprehend possible suspects of shoplifting. The security guard would call Toronto Police giving them all of their information.

Offenders must be at least 18 years old or older, have identification on them, be accused of stealing less than $1,000 worth of items, and be considered non-violent to not be charged their first attempt. If it is their first attempt they get let off with a warning, the second attempt will most likely result in an arrest.

The program has a 90-day testing period until the results will prove if the program should expand to more districts. The six-month pilot will run in divisions 51 and 52.

This year, Toronto had 16,667 shoplifting incidents reported to Toronto police as of Oct. 30

Onstage, YG asked the fan to publicly announce that he did not endorse Donald Trump by saying “F* Donald Trump”, the chorus of YG’s 2016 Protest song featuring the late recording artist Nipsey Hussle Tha Great.

He reminded him that his family would be able to see the recording via. social networking and the fan was not able to commit the act.

YG promptly kicked him offstage.

“Another example of the tolerant left,” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham sarcastically told Fox News on Monday.

A gunman opened fire at an off-campus Texas A&M University-Commerce party, leaving two people dead and 14 injured, Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks said Sunday.

The party was not a school-sanctioned event, according to the school and sheriff’s officials.

Word of the shooting spread online overnight, with many sharing the graphic video showing seriously wounded victims lying on the ground with crying and screaming in the background.

“We unfortunately do not have any solid suspect information,“ Sheriff Randy Meeks

Authorities believe there was one male shooter who entered the venue through the back door and began firing with a handgun.

Sheriff’s deputies were already on location. They were questioning a person in front of the building after being called for complaints of parking on the roadway blocking traffic when they heard gunshots being fired from the back of the building at around midnight.

No deputies fired a shot during this incident.

At least 700 people fled the scene, including the gunman. Three air ambulances took victims to Medical City Plano, a trauma hospital. Other victims were taken to hospitals in Greenville, Quinlan and Commerce. Others may have sought medical help privately.

Authorities believe the shooter may have been targeting one person in the group of 750.

The two people killed were both males, but it is still not revealed if they were A&M-Commerce students.

“We unfortunately do not have any solid suspect information,“ Sheriff Randy Meeks said. Anyone with info is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 903-457-2929.

Our prayers and condolences go out to the family, friends, and school community, all affected by this tragedy.

Texas A&M University–Commerce is a public research university in Commerce, Texas. With an enrollment of over 12,000 students as of fall 2017, the university is the third-largest institution in the Texas A&M University System.

This video trended on Twitter last week after a group of Hispanic teens were stopped by a white woman for playing on an orange swing at Fort Worth’s Dream Park.

The teens tried to tell the woman that they weren’t over the age allowed in the all-ages park, but the woman lied and said she worked with the police causing the group of teenagers to leave.

“I’m a f–king PD, so get the f–k out of here now if you’re not here to play as a child, — Read the f–king sign.”

Fort Worth police confirmed the woman was not employed by their department.

Twitter users quickly pointed out that this was not the woman’s first time causing a scene at the park.

The 38-year old woman now identified as Samantha Louise Eley had previously been charged with assault/bodily injury in late August, of a family member in Fort Worth, according to Tarrant County criminal court records obtained by the Star-Telegram show.

She spent 50 days behind bars on driving-while-intoxicated arrests in 2017 — and was also sentenced to 16 months’ probation on the same charge back in 2014, according to the records.

On October 21, 2019, “Swing Set Samantha” was arrested again on a bond violation related to the previous arrest in a family violence case, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

On Wednesday, the Fort Worth Police Department confirmed on Twitter That Samantha Eley had been charged for impersonating a police officer. Her bond for the impersonation charge has been set at $2,500.
